Specializations and Approach
Dr. Faye started working with children as and pediatric occupational therapist in 2005 specializing in sensory processing, school-based OT, and children with emotional and behavioral dysregulation. She worked as an OT for several years before going back to school to earn a doctorate degree in clinical psychology in order to better help the children who suffered from trauma. Dr. Faye completed her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology in 2017 and began preparing to develop her private practice. In 2019, Dr. Faye founded Two Trees Therapy Services, LLC which specializes in play therapy for children who have history of traumas. Over the years, due to her background in OT, she noticed a high need for younger children with medical trauma and/or sexual trauma. Due to this high need, Dr. Faye has dedicated herself to serving this population.
Dr. Faye’s approach to working with children, included client-centered, play-based therapy as this allows the child to communicate through play. You can read more about play therapy by clicking the “Play Therapy” tab.

About Dr. Faye
Dr. Faye was born in the suburbs of Chicago to an immigrant Greek father and American, born Polish mother. She enjoyed moving around her adult life as it offered opportunities to see how life is different depending on where in the US one is living, thus exposing her to various cultural populations. Having these different perspectives has helped Dr. Faye to better incorporate culture into her work. In addition to helping tiny humans, Dr. Faye also has a passion for helping animals and volunteers as a foster for a local animal rescue as well as volunteering with a state-wide pet food and supplies donation center.
